Other Alumni Opportunities
Alumni Recruitment Committee
The University of Richmond relies upon the support of dedicated alumni volunteers to interact with prospective undergraduate students. The Alumni Recruitment Committee (ARC), a body of more than 600 alumni volunteers, supports the efforts and initiatives of the Office of Admission by attending local college fairs and programs, serving as a local resource and much more.
Alumni Informational Interviewing Program
The alumni informational interviewing program, fostered in 2005 as a pilot program in Washington, D.C , continues to seek alumni volunteers across the country. The Office of Admission looks forward to further developing the program and is proud to have expanded into Richmond. By interviewing prospective students and applicants, you have the opportunity to share your Richmond experience, help these students gather more information during their college search, and in so doing increase the visibility of the University of Richmond in the Richmond area.
Please contact Maria E. Cedeno, Senior Assistant Director of Admission in the Office of Admission, at mcedeno@richmond.edu or (804) 289-8640 if you would like further information regarding the alumni informational interviewing program or the Alumni Recruitment Committee.
Host Family Program:
Do you want to make lifelong friendships with new international students? Volunteer to be a host family through the Host Family Program, which pairs new international students with UR alumni, faculty and staff. No international or foreign language experience is required, just an open mind and an interest in learning about other cultures! You can host for one semester, one year, or all four years that your host student is attending the University of Richmond.
For more information, contact Krittika Onsanit at konsanit@richmond.edu or visit the Host Family Program website.
