Mary Ramsey Evans SCS’02, G’06
President

Mary, a native Richmonder, graduated from SCS in 2002 with a degree in Liberal Arts, and from UR Graduate School of Arts and Sciences with a Master's of Arts degree in English in 2006.  She has taught English composition at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, and is currently serving as President of the UC/SCS AA.  Mary has been married for thirty years to Chuck Evans.  They have three adult children.  Mary and Chuck live in Midlothian, VA.

Alice K. Campbell SCS’01                
Vice President

Vice-president Alice “Book Fair Queen” Campbell has served on the Board for four years and as a volunteer for the prior two years fund-raising for scholarships. A former recipient of the Jean Proffitt Scholarship, Alice graduated in 2001 in Human Resources Management and works at the Dominion Clearinghouse.  Thirty-four years ago she “married” into the UR family—Paxton Campbell, son of a former Chairman of the Department of Physics, Dr. Addison D. Campbell—with no regrets.

Dorothy J. Hannan SCS’98, G'04    
Secretary

Dorothy graduated from SCS in 1998 with a Bachelor of Applied Studies (BAS) in Paralegal Studies and from UR Graduate School of Arts and Sciences with a Master's of Liberal Arts degree (MLA) in 2004.  She is a Paralegal at McGuireWoods LLP in Richmond, and is currently serving as Secretary of the US/SCS AA.  Dorothy resides in Richmond, VA and has one adult daughter.

Charles K. Trible UC'68, L’71          
Treasurer

Charlie is a 1968 UC/SCS and a 1971 T C Williams law grad.  He has served as an Assistant Attorney General for Virginia, Virginia State Auditor, Assistant Controller and General Auditor for Dominion Virginia Power, and is currently in a private CPA practice.  He is a former UC/SCS Alumni Association President and was a charter member of the Board.  He resides in Henrico County with his wife Susie and has two children, Susan, a 1995 SCS graduate and Christopher, who received his Masters from the University.

Connie E. Harvey UC’95                    
Immediate Past President

Connie graduated Summa Cum Laude from University College in 1995 with a degree in Human Resource Management.  In 2004 she earned a Graduate Certificate in HRM from SCS.  Connie has been employed with MeadWestvaco Corporation for 29 years and currently manages the office of the Chairman and CEO.  Connie serves the UC/SCS Alumni Association as Past President.  Connie was recently named the 2007 recipient of the Gibb Family Distinguished Alumna Award. Connie has one daughter and three grandchildren who reside in Fredericksburg, VA.

Eleanor Boens SCS’00                   

Eleanor has lived in Virginia all her life and has claimed Richmond as home since 1984.  She received her Associates Degree in 2000. Eleanor's experience with the School of Continuing Studies was so positive that she continued and earned a Bachelor of Applied Studies in Human Resource Management in 2001.  Eleanor is currently employed by Virginia Blood Services.

Sue Murphy SCS’02                        

Sue Murphy, the current chair of the Membership and Nominating Committees for the UC/SCS Alumni Board, was awarded her Associate in Liberal Arts Degree in May 2002 and her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in May 2004.  She is employed as the Director of Programs and Budgets at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at UR.  Sue and her husband, Pat, live in Midlothian, VA. Their blended family includes eight grown children and nine grandchildren.

Barbara Shavelson SCS’98          

Barbara graduated summa cum laude in 1998 with a degree in Applied Studies – Human Resource Management. Her work has been in benefit and pension plan administration.  She retired this year from Alcoa, and is currently working part-time for Alcoa.  Barbara has two married daughters and two granddaughters, with one more on the way.

Linda Koch SCS'03 (Lin)                  

Currently the Resource and Operations Coordinator for UR's Career Development Center, Lin has worked at the University of Richmond since 1984.   While not a native of Richmond, Lin and her family consider Richmond home. Lin is an alumna of the University of Richmond School of Continuing Studies (’03) and former President of the Student Government Association,  Lin loves movies (old and new); Spiders basketball; attending performances at the Modlin Center; reading; and traveling – anywhere! Lin also volunteers as a tutor for the READ Center (literacy council).

James Morgan SCS'06 (Jim)         

Jim graduated from the SCS in May 2006 and he was honored to be the Student Commencement Speaker at graduation.  He received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with an endorsement to teach Elementary Education.  He has taught 3rd grade for 2 years at Holton Elementary in Richmond City Public Schools.  He is now teaching 2nd grade at St. Christopher's School.

Dianne St. John SCS'07                     

Dianne, a native Richmonder, graduated from SCS in 2007 with a degree in Liberal Arts. Dianne has bee employed by the University of Richmond since 1988 and currently works in One Card Services. She served on the SCS/SGA Board for several years and is currently serving a two-year term on the SCS/UA Alumni Board.  Dianne has been married for thirty three years to Stephen St. John.  They have two adult children-- Scott, University of Richmond ’02; and Amy, Sweet Briar College ’06. Dianne and Stephen live in Henrico County.

Cindy Johnson SCS’02                   

Cindy graduated from SCS in 2002 with a degree in Human Resource Management.  In addition she has gained credentials as a Certified Medical Practice Executive and a Senior Professional in Human Resources.  She serves as Director of Human Resources for Summit Health Care, the parent company of Virginia Women’s Center, Richmond Ob/Gyn Associates and Riverview Physicians for Women.

Tammy T. Alexander SCS’05         

Tammy, a native of the Northern Neck area of Virginia, graduated from SCS in 2005 with a degree in Paralegal Studies.  She has been a paralegal for a Fortune 500 company and is currently a program coordinator for the SCS Paralegal Studies program.  Tammy has been married for nine years to Robb Alexander.  They live in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Cliff Middlebrook, SCS'07                   

Cliff graduated from SCS in 2007 with a degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in business. He served on the on the SCS/SGA Board for four years and is currently serving a two-year term on the SCS/UA Alumni Board. Cliff has worked as an Account Manager for Activant Solutions over the last twelve years and travels around the country for his job. He and his wife Gina have two sons and reside in Henrico County.

Francine Reynolds

Francine Reynolds, SCS'08

Francine graduated from SCS in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree. The last two years of her SCS education was through the Weekend College accelerated degree program, which was a wonderful experience. She served as President of the Student Government Association in 2007/08 , and is the 2008 recipient of the Jean H. Proffitt Student Service Award and the Taylor Kie Cousins Memorial Book Award. Francine has been employed at the University of Richmond for twenty-six years and is the One Card Services campus card systems administrator. A Richmond native, Francine has been married to Larry Reynolds for thirty-one years, has two daughters, and two granddaughters.

Marcia Meekins

Marcia Meekins, SCS'05

Marcia, a native Richmonder, is a Legislative Assistant for Rhumb Line, LLC. She is a ‘05 SCS honor graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Paralegal Studies. After 25 years of marriage, Alan and Marcia have three children, Alanna, Alan, Jr. & Morgan and 2 dogs, Tiger & Reecee. Marcia enjoys sewing, gardening, studying French and has a passion for classical music.
