Monday, October 27, 2008 Alumni, family and friends enjoyed a private viewing of the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and then enjoyed a reception at the museum.
Saturday, August 30, 2008 The Carolina Triad & Triangle Alumni Chapters and the Spider Club welcomed alumni, family and friends to a pre-game tailgate at Fire House Field before the Richmond Spiders took on the Elon Phoenix in the 2008 Football Season opener.

Jim Miller, Director of Athletics, Dave Johnson, Vice President for Advancement and Rod Smolla, Dean, School of Law welcomed the 260 guests on behalf of the University.

Wednesday, February 15, 2006 The Carolina Triangle Chapter invited alumni to cheer on the men's basketball team at Playmakers when the Spiders took on the University of North Carolina Charlotte 49ers.
Thursday, July 21, 2005 The Carolina Triangle Alumni Chapter invited alumni to a picnic dinner followed by the Durham Bulls vs. Richmond Braves baseball game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Friday, January 7, 2005 The Carolina Triangle Chapter invited alumni to a tour of the North Carolina Museum of Art show Matisse, Picasso and the School of Paris: Masterpieces from the Baltimore Museum of Art. This special tour was led by the director of the museum, Larry Wheeler, following dinner at the museum restaurant.
