Sixth Annual Women in the Know Conference
Inquiry. Power. Connection. Knowledge. The University of Richmond's Sixth Annual Women in the Know Conference allows women to step back into the classroom and examine important issues through the lens of contemporary scholarship and to step out with a sharper focus on the world around them. Conference participants will have the opportunity to network with other women, hear an inspiring keynote speaker and attend a minicourse taught by a University faculty member. The conference is open to all women at a cost of $28, which includes a wine reception. Advance registration is required. For more information, call (804) 289-8578.

Preview Richmond Days is a program for juniors and sophomores in high school and their family members. Whether your son or daughter is just starting the college search or may be a bit further along, consider attending this program sponsored by the Office of Admission. "Managing Change in Our Lives"
Change--it's all around us and sometimes seems almost constant. How do we recognize it and what are some ways we can deal with it? We will talk about our "circles of influence" and "circles of concern" and how they help us manage the stress of change in our lives. We will discuss some ways to reduce the stress of change and engage in open dialogue, giving participants the opportunity to explore various ways to identify and deal with sources of change in their lives. Sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Richmond, this is an interactive session that encourages lively discussion among participants.

"With Age Comes Wisdom"

Alumni Golf Outing
This annual golf outing includes 18 holes of golf (greens fee, cart, etc.), lunch and refreshments on the course. Sign up as an individual or with your own foursome. The cost is $85 per person. Advance registration is required. Registration: 12:00 p.m.; Shotgun start: 1:00 p.m.

Alumni who want to learn more about the admission process or who have children beginning the college search process (who can't attend Preview Richmond Days) are invited to participate in an admission session and campus tour. Become acquainted with academic programs, admission requirements and the current student profile. "Arts and Museum Leadership and the Making of the Modern City"
What would New York be without MOMA or the Met? Imagine Washington without the Smithsonian or Chicago without the Art Institute. In small and medium-sized cities today, museums and arts and cultural venues are critical drivers of economic development in the modern center city. Inarguably, they create ambience, appreciation for diversity, opportunities for savoring beauty and enjoying lifelong learning. Strong cultural institutions contribute immeasurably to regional quality of life. The 2007 Jepson School leader-in-residence Dr. Walter Witschey, longtime director of the Science Museum of Virginia (SMV), will host a panel discussion with other metro Richmond museum and arts leaders on trends and the future of culture and the city. Sponsored by the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, the discussion will be followed by a networking reception for students, alumni and community leaders honoring Dr. Witschey, who is retiring from the SMV this fiscal year.

"Westhampton 101: Life After College"
We welcome your participation in an interactive discussion with current Westhampton College students and a panel of Westhampton alumnae about issues facing women after graduation from the University, including career, family and how lessons from college have influenced personal and professional learning and endeavors. This session is sponsored by Westhampton College.

F.W. Boatwright Society Dinner and Annual Meeting
Enjoy a return to campus and visit with classmates on this special occasion. The Class of 1957 will be inducted into the society, and selected classes celebrating reunions will be recognized: the classes of 1927, 1932, 1937, 1942, 1947 and 1952. Reunion classes will be seated together. Note that this event will be held in the Jepson Alumni Center; seating will be limited. University police will be on hand to assist with parking. The reception will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $30 per person. There is no charge for alumni from the class of 1957 and their guest. Advance registration is required.

Then and Now: Alumni Dinner in D-Hall
Join fellow alumni and guests from all classes and experience old and new favorites in the newly renovated Heilman Center. Reunion classes will be seated together. The cost is $8.25 for adults and $6.50 for children 10 and under.

Westhampton College Reception
Westhampton College alumnae are invited to join the dean of Westhampton College and staff for a wine reception in the Deanery. The cost is $13 for adults. Advance registration is required.

Young Grad Reunion and Senior Class Celebration
The Young Grad Council of the Greater Richmond Alumni Chapter invites all alumni to join the Class of 2007 for an evening of live music. Beverages and snacks will be available, and live entertainment will be provided by E3. Admission is free. Beer tickets will be available for purchase, and a photo I.D. is required for entry.

All alumni and guests are invited to breakfast in the newly renovated Heilman Center. This event is sponsored by the Greater Richmond Alumni Chapter. The cost is $5 per person.

University of Richmond Admissions Today: What's Hot and What's Not?
Sabena Moretz, '89, and associate director of admission, will give an overview of distinctive features of the University of Richmond that are important to prospective students and their parents; the admission process; key facts about financial aid; and the typical admission profile of current students. The session will be informative for families who have questions about University of Richmond admissions or college admissions in general and for alumni who want to be more effective ambassadors for their alma mater.

Traditions and Change at the University of Richmond
Why have some things stayed the same at the University of Richmond, while others have changed? During this session, a panel of student development staff, including Steve Bisese, Vice President of Student Development, will discuss traditions and change at the University of Richmond. Following their discussion, they will open the session for questions. All alumni are invited and encouraged to attend.

The Future of Richmond Athletics
Jim Miller, director of athletics, will present a brief overview of University of Richmond Athletics and share strategic planning for the future. He will outline concepts for new and upgraded facilities, funding issues and NCAA trends that may impact how conferences are aligned.

Reunion Rally
At this celebration, we will recognize the contributions of exceptional alumni, including this year's Alumni of the University of Richmond Awards for Distinguished Service and the Jepson School's Tenth-Year Reunion Recognition Award, as well as this year's reunion committees and individual class awards.

Alumni Picnic
Join all reunion class members for a picnic on Westhampton Green. Current and former University faculty and staff will be on hand to welcome you. This celebration features picnic fare, beverages, live music by Kurt Stemhagen, '91, and Rockfish Willie and plenty of children's activities. The cost is $15 for adults, $7 for children under 12, children under 3 are free. This includes lunch and beverages. Advance registration is required.

Music at the Forum
All alumni are invited to watch live musical performances at the Forum, which is located at the front entrances of Gottwald Center for the Sciences and Cannon Memorial Chapel. The Doctors of Jazz, Richmond's faculty Dixieland band, and Choeur du Roi, Richmond's first co-ed a cappella group, will perform.

Itsy Bitsy Spider Camp
We are pleased to introduce KiddieCorp as the provider of childcare for Saturday evening of Reunion Weekend 2007. KiddieCorp is in its 21st year of providing high-quality children's programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows and special events. Activities include exciting themes, arts and crafts, group games, music and board games, story time, dramatic plays, etc., for children ages 6 months through 12 years. Their goal is to provide your children with a comfortable, safe and happy experience. The cost is $50 per child. Advance registration is required.

Memorial Service
Acting chaplain, Kate O'Dwyer Randall, will lead a memorial service to remember and give thanks for the lives of all the members of the reunion classes who are deceased.
